This is the latest update for the anniversary celebration after the 2nd committee meeting yesterday.

Date : 23 Oct 2011 (Sunday)
Venue : City Bayview Hotel
Time : 6.30pm - 11.00pm (subject to change)
Price : RM40 for current scouts/students.
RM80 for ex scouts.
Those who wish to contribute more than RM80 will be welcomed.

This event will be open to parents of the current scouts and also the partners of our ex-scouts.

Details for the 50th Anniversary Dinner

Event: 8th Georgetown (South) Sea Scout Group 50th Anniversary Dinner

Date: 22nd October 2011

Venue: Batu Ferringhi (Canoeing) To be decided (Hotel)

Time: 1000 hours - 2100 hours (10.00am - 11.00pm)

The prestigious 50th Anniversary Dinner of 8th Georgetown (South) Sea Scout Group will be held on  22nd October 2011. Directly a day AFTER Penang Free School's Annual Speech Day, it will be prove to be a very strategic date for the Old Frees will be coming back for the highly regard event. It would be convenient for the Old Frees whom are once part of 8th Georgetown (South) Sea Scout Group to join in for the dinner.

The schedule* for the day are as shown below:

1000 hours - 1130 hours (10.00am - 11.30am): Visit to Penang Free School.

1130 hours - 1200 hours (11.30am - 12.00pm): Departure from PFS to Batu Ferringhi.

1200 hours (12.00pm): Arrival at Batu Ferringhi.

1200 hours - 1500 hours (12.00pm - 3.00pm): Canoeing and water activities.

1500 hours (3.00pm): Dismissal at Batu Ferringhi.

1500 hours - 1830 hours (3.00pm - 6.30pm): Time allocated for guests to return to their homes/hotels to wash up and get prepared for dinner.

 1830 hours (6.30pm): Gathers at hotel for dinner.

1830 hours - 2100 hours (6.30pm - 9.00pm): Dinner starts

2100 hours (9.00pm): Dinner ends. Dismissal 

For the trip to Batu Ferringhi, bus will be provided for guests who are coming for the canoeing activity. The hotel for the dinner will be decided as soon as possible. The date of this event is FINAL and there will NOT be anymore changes to it. The fees is RM 150** per person. I hope to get solid responses for the event so that extra preparation could be made. The payment for the dinner will be made through a MAYBANK account. The details for the account will be revealed soon.
